Makes Fortnite and Unreal Engine. Fortnite is one of the most played games in the world; Unreal Engine is the toolkit a large share of the games industry builds on, and is increasingly used in film and television production too. It also runs the Epic Games Store, which competes with Steam on a lower commission.

PrePost's proprietary index, combining capital-raising momentum, market-pricing confidence, and investor strength into one comparable score from 0 to 100. It lets you compare companies on those three measures; it is not a rating of the investment. How it works
Epic is the first company on this site marked *below* the price of its own last round, which is the reason to read its page carefully. Disney invested $1.5bn in February 2024 at $600 a share. Every fund here that reports holding Epic now carries it lower: $465.16, $446.42 and, most recently, $400.00. That February 2024 round was itself a down round, at $22.5bn against the $31.5bn Sony and KIRKBI paid in April 2022. What that does and does not mean. These are three funds' fair value estimates filed with the SEC, not trades. They are a genuine independent read, which is more than most private companies get, but they are opinions with a methodology behind them rather than a price anyone actually paid. The company-level estimate here is derived, not observed. Epic files no share register, so PrePost scaled its last round by the change in per-share mark. If Epic has issued shares since February 2024 the figure is too high; if it has bought some back, too low. The per-share marks are the solid part of this record.

These are on the public record as giving exposure to Epic Games. Buying one means owning a stake in the vehicle, not in Epic Games, and the vehicle takes fees along the way.

On the public record means the vehicle exists in a regulatory filing or a public product document. It does not mean PrePost has vetted it, or checked that it suits you. What each of these really is, and what comes off your return, is in the instruments primer.
Ordered by how much of the vehicle this company is, never by payment. How we stay independent.

| Notes | No public IPO process. The pressure point is ownership rather than intent: Tencent has held roughly 40% since 2012, reported as diluted to about 28%, and a stake that size eventually needs a route to liquidity. Sony holds about 5.4% and KIRKBI about 3%. Tim Sweeney retains control and has spoken against going public. |
